The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Regional Cancer Program, in partnership with Cancer Care Ontario, encourages Ontario residents to be screened for Breast, Cervical and Colorectal cancer as part of their routine medical care through the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP), Ontario Cervical Screening Program (OCSP) and ColonCancerCheck (CCC).
The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP), Ontario Cervical Screening Program (OCSP) and ColonCancerCheck (CCC) are free, high-quality programs that focus on prevention and early detection. Screening can find signs of Breast, Cervical and Colorectal cancers early when they’re easier to treat and beat. Thousands of men and women in Ontario are alive and healthy today because they got screened and were able to either prevent cancer or find it early.
The OBSP, OCSP and CCC are programs of Cancer Care Ontario. Screening for Breast, Cervical and Colorectal cancer is offered at locations throughout the Region.
The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Regional Cancer Program oversees the delivery and quality of cancer services for Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara, Brant, Haldimand and most of Norfolk. It is one of 13 Regional Cancer Programs in the province, across which the 14 Regional Cancer Centres are located. Regional Cancer Programs were created by Cancer Care Ontario in 2005 to ensure cancer care is delivered according to province-wide quality standards.
