Extension of Temporary Mobile Cancer Screening Coach Closure

Dear Clients and Partners,

The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Mobile Cancer Screening Coach will continue to be temporarily closed until at least February 11, 2021 in response to the recently announced province-wide state of emergency and the current level of COVID-19 spread in communities in our region.

The health and safety of the communities that we serve, our clients and our staff come first. The Coach’s unique physical space makes some infection prevention and control measures, like physical distancing, difficult and that is why we have decided to continue to defer services at this time. Cancer screening services continue to be offered by other providers in region. For information on other available cancer screening resources in the community, please visit our website: https://hnhbscreenforlife.ca/covid-19/patients/.

We will continue to monitor our local situation to determine a service resumption schedule. You can like and follow our Regional Cancer Screening Program (@screenforlifecoach) on Facebook for the most up-to-date information. Clients can speak with a member of the Coach team by calling 905-975-4467 if they have any questions or concerns. We will help clients find another cancer screening option in the community if it is time to get screened or can put their name on a list to call for an appointment when the Coach re-opens.

We greatly appreciate your continued support and hope to be back in the community soon. Please do not hesitate to contact Riley Crotta, Manager, Regional Cancer Programs at rcrotta@hamilton.ca or 905-521-2100 ext. 63007 should you have any questions or concerns.

We will continue to post updates about Coach services on our website (www.hnhbscreenforlife.ca) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/screenforlifecoach/).
