Johnston Motors is making it easier for Hamilton women to have mammograms done thanks to the generous donation of a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan to the CIBC Breast Assessment Centre’s Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP), located at the at the Juravinski Hospital.
The van, driven by a hospital volunteer, provides free rides to women who face transportation barriers such as not having a vehicle or driver’s licence so that they have access to potentially lifesaving breast screening at the CIBC Breast Assessment Centre’s OBSP.
The Hamilton Mountain dealership is a longtime supporter of the OBSP’s volunteer driver program. Women interested in booking their mammogram and a drive call 905-389-0101.
The OBSP is a province-wide, organized breast screening program that provides free, high-quality breast screening. A mammogram can find cancer when it’s small, making it easier to treat and beat.
