Screen for Life Mobile Coach brings cancer screening to high needs neighbourhoods

The Screen for Life Mobile Coach represents a shift in the concept of cancer care services delivery by bringing prevention and detection efforts to neighbourhoods where screening rates are low. This 45-foot-long coach bus is staffed by a team of Hamilton Health Sciences health care professionals and visits high-needs neighbourhoods offering breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening. Features include a state-of-the-art digital mammography suite, an exam room for Pap tests, two change rooms, a sitting area and wheelchair accessibility. FOBT kits are distributed by Coach staff.
