Ever wonder what’s in those letters to patients from CCO for ColonCancerCheck (CCC), the Ontario Cervical Screening Program (OCSP), and Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)?
Allow me to share:
OBSP: Patients are invited to start screening, and reminded when they’re due or overdue. They’re informed by CCO of normal results. CCO does not notify of abnormal mammograms. This is navigated by your local Regional Cancer Program.
OCSP: Patients are invited to start screening, and reminded when they’re due or overdue. CCO informs them if their result is normal, abnormal or insufficient.
CCC: Patients are invited to start screening, and reminded when they’re due or overdue. CCO informs them if the FOBT kit is normal, indeterminate, rejected or abnormal.
